HEMINGWAY 5K SUNSET RUN & PADDLEBOARD RACE UPDATE:
UNPRECEDENTED TIMES CALL FOR CHANGES THIS YEAR!
Due to the current situation and the fact we cannot have large gatherings this is the best option we can plan:
We will have the original courses in addition to some optional ones for both the 5k Run and Paddleboard Race (you can do them all if you wish). You can use this app in your home town to see virtually where you will be on the course if you were in Key West. We will ship the race shirt, medal and a UPF 50 Kool Wrap direct to you. Participants will have a four-day window to complete the events. The technology we are using for our events will digitize the race courses.

UPF 50 Kool Wrap!
RaceJoy is a free app that you will run on your phone that will use the GPS capabilities to track your progress and send you alerts at critical parts of the course. Additionally, as you pass each mile, you will get a message indicating your progress and current pace. When you complete the course, you can send your results in to be shared online (you will receive a bib number that will be used for tracking your results). The app is free and very easy to set up and use. You should take a few minutes to learn how to get set up prior to race day:

So, while we cannot all get together right now, there is no reason not to run the Hemingway 5K and/or Paddleboard race and the best part is, you can now run it any time you want between July 23 and July 26 in your hometown!
You will have a choice of three 5K run courses and two Paddleboard courses. The 5K course will be the original Hemingway 5K Run by the Southernmost Point, the Key West Half Marathon 5K course at the Historic Seaport and a no traffic option along the water on South Roosevelt Blvd.
We are working on several other activities for you to do on your own with friends or family – Paddle activities with Lazy Dog Outfitters, a Hemingway Trivia Hunt and Rum tastings with a raffle. Stay tuned for updates.
